Generation Yers Default On Bills

One-third of people who fail to pay their bills are Generation Yers, Australia’s biggest consumer credit check company says.

The children of baby boomers, aged between 18 and 27, are defaulting on their credit payments shortly after signing contracts as they borrow big to snap up mobiles phones and take overseas holidays, Veda Advantage data reveals. (more…)

Gen Y Loves Itself Too Much

Narcissism and entitlement among college students are at an all-time high, according to a recent study conducted by a San Diego State University researcher.

The analysis examined the responses of 16,000 college students across the United States who filled out the Narcissistic Personality Inventory between 1982 and 2006. (more…)

The dream of owning a home is floating further away from Generation Y, but some amongst today’s youth are managing to buck the trend.A recent survey of property experts found that only seven per cent think members of Generation Y will ever be able to buy their own home, the Residential Development Council (RDC) says.
